Today, pack the sunscreen and your sense of adventure for a full day whitewater rafting tour. You’ll travel to the Hualapai Indian Reservation, headquarters for the one-day whitewater trip in the Grand Canyon. Then journey down the only access road through the Grand Canyon, right to the edge of the Colorado River. Upon boarding the custom-built, 8-passenger, motorized raft, your experienced Hualapai Indian River Guide (the Hualapai have been guiding these tours for over 30 years) will lead you on a 5-hour rafting journey of the Colorado River. You'll raft your way through the Grand Canyon and raft the Class II-IV white water rapids on this portion of the Colorado River (12 sets of rapids) and take a brief nature hike into a secret side canyon to the pristine Travertine Falls. After enjoying a light lunch on the banks of the Colorado River it's time to reboard your raft and set out again. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife in the area as you relax on a more gentle stretch of the Colorado River. You'll pass through the 4,000 foot cliff walls of the Grand Canyon, stop and explore a secluded wilderness area, and may even catch a glimpse of the Desert Big Horn Sheep or Peregrine Falcons in the area. At the end of your white water rafting journey, you'll ascend 4,000 feet from the bottom of the Grand Canyon at the Colorado River up to the rim by helicopter (weather permitting). You'll have a chance to freshen up and shop at the Hualapai Indian Store at the Airport before loading up and heading home.
Note: In the event the helicopters cannot fly, ground transport will be provided. There will be no adjustment in price.
