DAY 1              ARRIVE IN LOS ANGELES
Welcome to Los Angeles and the start of your journey! Today you will get to enjoy the best of the City of Angels. Use your hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour to visit such iconic landmarks as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, the Universal Studios, and the Hollywood Sign, and much more. (Overnight in Los Angeles)

DAY 2              LOS ANGELES
You know celebrities live in Los Angeles – see their incredible homes today on a fun tour! Travel around the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills and Bel-Air and experience first-hand the star-studded lifestyles of the rich and famous. (Overnight in Los Angeles)

DAY 3              OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
Spend the day at your leisure in Los Angeles before boarding Amtrak’s Southwest Chief this evening for your overnight journey to William, Arizona. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 4              GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
Arrive in Williams this morning and enjoy breakfast at the Grand Depot Café before boarding the Grand Canyon Railway to the awe-inspiring South Rim. With close to two dozen expansive, breath-taking viewpoints at the South Rim, you’re guaranteed to make some lasting memories while on your sightseeing tour of this great natural abyss. Can’t-miss panorama views include Mather Point, Yavapai Point, Desert View, and Hermit’s Rest. (Overnight in Grand Canyon National Park) B

DAY 5              ZION NATIONAL PARK AND LAKE POWELL
Today, begin your tour through the National Parks of the Southwest! You’ll be picked up from your hotel in the Grand Canyon and travel close to the picturesque shores of Lake Powell and over the Glen Canyon Dam. In Zion, you will experience one of Utah’s most breath-taking landscapes. Featuring 200 miles of picturesque trails, stunning vistas, vermillion cliffs, canyons, jagged skyline, and flora and fauna, this national park is a must-visit! Highlights of your included tour are Court of the Patriarchs, Emerald Pools, Weeping Rock, Temple of Sinawava and the Grotto. There is plenty to see and do without straining yourself, as there are fully-paved paths throughout Zion and many wheelchair accessible points of interest. Simply wander to a comfortable location and take it all the wonderful scenery. And you can’t forget about the wildlife! Deer, wild turkeys, and bighorn sheep call this place home. At the end of your tour, you’ll arrive in Springdale for a one-night stay. (Overnight in Springdale) 

DAY 6              CAPITOL REEF AND BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARKS
Continue your tour from Springdale to Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks en route to Grand Junction. On the way to Bryce Canyon, highlights will most certainly be the distinctive hoodoos (red rock pillars), bristlecone pine trees (the oldest trees in the world), and views from Sunrise, Sunset, and Inspiration Points. In Capitol Reef (the least known and least crowded park in Utah), explore the mesmerizing cliffs, hidden arches, massive sandstone domes that resemble capitol buildings, and deep canyons. The scenery speaks for itself with plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos or simply admire the views. See the park’s most famous attraction, the Waterpocket Fold. Back in Grand Junction, spend your evening on your own strolling along Riverfront Trail or enjoying some farm-to-table cuisine. (Overnight Grand Junction)

DAY 7              OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
Enjoy a truly picturesque overnight journey onboard Amtrak’s California Zephyr from Grand Junction to Chicago. Watch the scenery dramatically change as you head into Colorado and through the Rockies, and then across the Great Plains. Relax and enjoy comfortable accommodations and great food onboard. DAY 8              CHICAGO
Breeze into the Windy City this afternoon and check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Once settled, set out to discover the city with your CityPASS, which includes admission to the Shedd Aquarium, SkyDeck Chicago, The Field Museum and many more popular attractions. (Overnight in Chicago)

DAY 9              CHICAGO
Discover more of Chicago today with a hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tour that will take you to all the popular landmarks. Check out the Navy Pier and its many fun attractions. Spend more time exploring Chicago at your own pace today before boarding the overnight train to New York City this evening. Once onboard, relax and enjoy a good night’s sleep. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 11             NEW YORK CITY
Enjoy a relaxing day on the train as you head east. Arrive in New York City this evening and check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. (Overnight in New York City)

DAY 12            NEW YORK CITY
Experience the best of New York City today! Enjoy a multi-day hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour of one of the world's favourite cities. Stops include Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, the Theatre District, Times Square, and many more amazing hot spots! Feel free to hop off the tour at any time to explore at your own pace. Your tour bus pass is good for two days, so use it tomorrow to hit up any sites you didn't get a chance to explore today. Also make use of your CityPASS for entry into dozens of attractions, including the 9/11 Museum and Memorial and the Museum of Natural History. (Overnight in New York City)

Bright Angel Lodge

Bright Angel Lodge, designed in 1935, has a natural, rustic character, and is a Registered National Historic Landmark. Designed by famed architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter (Mary E. J. Colter), it has always been a popular place to stay and the center of South Rim activity. Located just a few feet from the Canyon rim, Bright Angel Lodge is the check-in point for the world famous Grand Canyon Mule Rides.

El Tovar

El Tovar Hotel, the premier lodging facility at the Grand Canyon, opened its doors in 1905 and was most recently renovated in 2005. In the past, the Hotel has hosted such luminaries as Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Western author Zane Grey, and many others. Today, El Tovar retains its elegant charm. Located on the Canyon rim, it features a fine dining room (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), lounge and curio shop with newsstand.

Kachina Lodge

Located directly on the rim of the Grand Canyon, the Kachina Lodge is a great hotel for all guests visiting the South Rim.

Maswik Lodge

Maswik Lodge is a modern facility spread over several acres of ponderosa pine forest, located just 1/4 mile from the Canyon's edge. Maswik Lodge features a cafeteria that is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Here you will also find a sports bar with a wide screen TV, a curio shop stocked with handicrafts and gifts, and a transportation/activities desk.

Thunderbird Lodge

Conveniently located between El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodge, Thunderbird is a contemporary lodge located at the South Rim.

Yavapai Lodge

Yavapai Lodge is Grand Canyon National Park Lodges' largest facility and is surrounded by pinyon and juniper woodlands, about 1/2 mile from the rim. With modern rooms and many services within a few steps, this is a convenient choice for families. Yavapai East rooms feature in-room air conditioning and Yavapai West rooms have vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans. The Lodge is located next to the Market Plaza, which includes a general store, bank, and U.S. Post Office.
