Capitol Reef National Park, UT

Designated an International Dark Sky Park in 2015, Capitol Reef National Park is known for the incredible nighttime views painted in the sky overhead. They’ve limited light pollution to some of the lowest possible levels to make space for the constellations to shine brightly above. The park was originally established to protect the Waterpocket Fold, an incredible “warp” in the land that expands 87 miles. By day, explore the historical sections of the park or take a hike along one of the many designated trails. But be sure to spend at least some time after dark here to experience the true magic of Capitol Reef!
